Doo-Wop Revival: Alternative Rock Band Shy Shape To Debut EP “Out at Night”

Surf beats, melodic guitar lines, and vocal-centric choruses are the foundation of Shy Shape’s signature sound, which permeates “Out At Night.” The record infuses garage rocker sensibilities with the hushed, smooth tones of the doo-wop era. A mix of DIY and by-the-book production undergirds the band’s music, with trash-picked pianos and second-hand horns delivered alongside crisp vocal harmonies and thoughtful, dark lyricism.
